Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: November 22, 2025
Come and join us for an early celebration of Krampusnacht with an official IFPA strikeout pinball tournament, themed food and treats, and a concentrated blast of holiday spirit.
1) Toy Drive - In lieu of any tournament fees, we will be collecting new, unwrapped toys to donate to the NBC 4 / Columbus Firefighters toy drive. Trophies and other prizes will be awarded to top finishers (and bakers - see below)
2) Naughty or Nice - There will be an additional (for fun) team-based component where you get to hand coal from your personal stocking to any members of the opposite team that you beat during a round. When you strike out, your coal is added to your team’s pile. Whichever team has the least coal at the end of the event will be triumphant. Will Team Nice get their revenge on Team Naughty this year?
Dress for the job you want! If you’d like to be on Team Nice, dress up in your finest traditional Christmas gear. If Team Naughty is more your speed, dress up as if you are celebrating Goth Christmas. Don’t want to dress up? That’s fine too, we’ll randomly assign you to try and keep the teams as fairly distributed as possible.
3) Holiday Food Competition – Because of the amazing spread of holiday goodies last year, we’ve decided to hold a balloted competition this year. If you’d like to compete in this contest, all you need to do is bring your best themed (Nice / Good versus Naughty / Evil) appetizer, snack, dessert, baked good, etc. At the conclusion of the pinball tournament, the best Nice dish and the best Naughty dish will receive custom trophies.
4) All are welcome - this is a relaxed tournament where all skill levels and ages are welcome. Whether it is your first or thousandth pinball tournament, you’ll have a good time. You are also welcome to just come join us and hang out if you don’t want to play in the tournament.
5) The Fine Details - The tournament will be held at my home on Saturday, November 22. Doors are at Noon and the tournament will start around 1 PM. If you don’t have my address, please feel free to DM me for it on Facebook or other social media.
The tournament will be in the Fair Strikes format with 5 strikes before you are knocked out. You will be sorted into groups of 3 or 4 players for each round and randomly assigned to a machine. Groups of 4 will be awarded 0/1/1/2 strikes and groups of 3 will be awarded 0/1/2 strikes based upon finishing order. When it is down to two players, strikes will be assigned 0/2.
Space is limited, please message me to let me know you are interested in coming. We have a soft player cap of 36. If there’s enough interest, I will maintain a wait list. Also let me know if you have any younger children who are interested in participating in a junior’s tournament; we were able to run a mini tournament on the side for our Krampus Jr participants.
