Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: September 23, 2017
Tournament Format: Pinball Pinball Pinball
- Head-to-head match play on a bank of machines such that approximately 1/4 of the players will be in the queue area. The number of and specific machines will be selected based on the number of attendees, with a preference given to machines with quick ball times.
- At the end of each game, the winner gets one point. The loser stays at the game unless they've lost twice in a row, in which case the winner stays. The player staying on the game plays in the same position (1up/2up) as they were already. The first player from the queue comes and plays that player; the player that left the game records the win and loss on a master list and goes to the back of the queue.
- 4 hours of qualifying divided into two 2-hour sessions. At the end of each qualifying time period, no more games may start. Finalists are determined via highest number of points, and ties are broken by fewest losses.
- A and B division finals will take place following the conclusion of the second 2-hour session, with the number of finalists determined by turnout.
Schedule:
- Doors open: 11 am
- Session 1: 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
- Meal break: 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm
- Session 2: 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm
- Playoffs: 6:30 pm until finished
Cost: $25 per player ($10 to the Pinball Co-op and $15 to the prize pool)
Capped at 35 players.
