Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: January 12, 2019
It's the Inaugural Pinball 518 PinCrawl!
We'll meet at the Excelsior Pub at 1 PM and divide into groups of four. We'll split up and follow designated routes around the Capital District, playing pinball within our groups in a best-score format (only your top score of three counts). Scores will be recorded across all players in Herbie format (best score = 100, second = 95, third = 90, then down by ones) for rankings, and we'll converge back on the Excelsior for finals at a time TBD by the pace of play for a finals in three-strike format with the top ranked qualifiers (everybody qualifies) getting byes for the first round or two, depending on the number of participants.
There will be a trophy for the winner, we'll decide if there will be a cash pool based on player interest, entry fee TBD based on the latter but it will be cheap.
We will need volunteers to be "group shepherds" to drive (and not drink) members of your group and manage the games at each venue. We'll likely have three games on each machine. Machines will be checked out in advance (we will need volunteers between now and the event to verify playability.)
