As the holiday season blossoms into a tremendous display of the blessings of our lives in the United States, it is important to remember that many families will struggle to eat during this time period. With this thought in mind, “Flip Off Hunger — Pinball Style” burst onto the tournament scene in 2013.

“Flip Off Hunger” is a charity tournament event where cities across the United States work with their local players and food banks to raise money for hungry families during the Thanksgiving Holiday.  During these events, pinball tournaments raise awareness to the plight of the hungry.   In 2013, 14 cities participated in “Flip Off Hunger”.

We raised $9,572 in 2013. Based on a $1 donation creating 3 meals, “Flip Off Hunger” donated over 28,716 meals!  Our goal for 2014 is to double that number of cities and tournaments.

With the help of the IFPA, “Flip Off Hunger” will offer an exemption to locations that have previously hosted their annual event.  This means that “Flip Off Hunger” sites can host a tournament worth full WPPR Value as long as it occurs on a weekend during November 2014 regardless if they have already hosted an annual event.

The event must be held anytime in November, and the 30 day advanced notice rule to get the event of the IFPA calendar is in effect.

If you are interested in hosting an event , please contact Marcus Trevino at xerico@gmail.com

With the support of the pinball community, we can raise thousands of dollars and feed even more people!
