End of Summer Super Match Play at Lynn's Arcade is a full day tournament where we play 5 rounds of group match play qualifying on banks of 2 games, 1 modern and 1 classic. Top 16 advances (less if we get less than 32 players) to a group elimination bracket playoff where each round consists of predetermined banks of 5 games, 2 modern and 3 classics. Doors at 10:00am, plunge at 11:00am.

Entry to the tournament is $20 for Lynn’s Arcade members and $40 for non-members, $10 from each player goes to the prize pool. Payout to top 4 finishers. The $1 IFPA registration fee is sponsored by TWITCH.TV/DRI374.

The tournament is limited to 72 players and preregistration opens on August 16th 10:00am Pacific on the Match Play event page.

Qualifying consists of 5 rounds where a group of 3 or 4 players gets assigned a 2-game bank, 4/2/1/0 scoring for 4 player groups and 4/2/1 for 3 player groups. Play the order as shown in Match Play and submit results after each game.

Automatic tiebreakers are being enforced by Match Play to avoid delays advancing into playoffs.

Playoffs starts exactly one hour after the last ball has drained in qualifying. Monitor Match Play for the exact time.

There will be 4 predetermined banks with 5 games in each bank. There will be 2 modern (DMD and LCD) and 3 classic (EM or SS) games in each bank and games are played in the assigned order in the bank (old, new, old, new, old). PAPA scoring 4/2/1/0, same as qualifying.

The highest seed in the group from qualifying gets to choose bank (no bank can be picked more than once through playoffs) and position on the first game. The position picking order on subsequent games are in reverse of finishing order on previous game.

Meaningful tiebreakers to advance to the next round will be drawn by the tournament director on a classic game and players flip a coin for picking position.

End of Summer Super Match Play is an IFPA sanctioned tournament and follow the rules as advertised. The only exception is that we allow shouting “ball save” as a player walks away from a machine, which is normally considered coaching. This tournament uses the IFPA rules for playing out of turn, not the rules employed by Lynn's Arcade.
