Start: 6:00
Prize(s): Awarded at random based on player D20 roll(s).
Format: IFPA four player “Group Knockout Pinball Tournament”
• Players are paired against each other in four-player games.
• Depending on how the player finishes in their match, they will receive one or more strikes.
• When a player reaches a predetermined amount of strikes (typically ????, they are eliminated from the tournament and will not be included in the next round of matches.
• Progressive strikes: 0/1/2/3 strikes are given to 1st/2nd/3rd/4th place finishers.
• There will be a finals cut off of four or eight players, depending on the number of participants.
• Finals format will be determined by the tournament director based on the number of players and how quickly the qualifying rounds are concluded.
o Preferred finals format for this event is “Group Elimination Finals” with double byes (but quicker methods may be used if needed).
• Top three will "finish in the money".
Thank you, Bolo’s Bar and Grill, the sponsor of this event!
More info on potential finals format:
Players are placed into four-player groups using a seeding method. The first and second finishers advance in the bracket, while third and fourth place are eliminated. Once final four have been determined, the final match will determine placement order.
Time permitting, we will have "Double Byes" in an eight player bracket: Double bye for seeds 1-2; Single bye for seeds 3-4.
