Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: September 10, 2025
Standard Strikes Tournament consisting of group match play in groups of 4 players (and 3 players as well if the total number of players is not divisible by 4) using classics games (games that don’t have (or originally didn’t have) a DMD or LCD) only. Maximum of 24 players are allowed in the tournament. Cost to enter: $10. Tournament will be held at Eight on the Break in Dunellen, NJ from 7:30 PM. No preregistration necessary.
For 3- and 4-player groups, players will receive no strikes for coming in first or second within their group and 1 strike for coming in third (or fourth in a 4-player group). For 2-player groups (first when there are five then when there are two players left), the winner gets no strikes, and the loser gets 1 strike. Once a player has 4 or 5 strikes (the actual number will be based on the number of players present), they are eliminated from the tournament. The MatchPlay software will handle the tallying of the strikes that each player gets. The tournament is over when one player remains.
Top 4 players get a medal and the top 4-8 players (depending on the number of players participating) get a cash prize as well.
