The Unfortunate Return of The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent ill-advised Vanity Tournament!
An IFPA sanctioned pinball tournament. Apparently they are STILL letting just anyone register sanctioned pinball tournaments these days. Come score yourself some wppr points and cash on a Saturday!
Limited to 30 players. Prior registration is required, send an email to DepartmentofPinball@gmail.com to register once registration opens.
For Saturday September 6th, registration opens Monday August 25th at 9am.
For Saturday October 11th, registration opens Monday September 29th at 9am.
For Saturday November 8th, registration opens Monday October 27th at 9am.
And for Saturday December 13th, the FINAL Unfortunate Return of The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent ill-advised Vanity Tournament EVER, registration opens Monday October 27th at 9am.
Entry fee of $20 will be paid by Paypal to complete registration. When you send an email to register, you will receive a response confirming your registration and asking for entry fee payment. Your spot is not locked in until you pay the entry fee. There are no refunds once you have paid.
Entry fee is $20, broken down as:
$19 Prize Fund
$1 IFPA / MD State Champion prize fund
Free parking at the event. A map of parking will be sent out before the event.
Doors open at 11:30am, tournament begins promptly at 12:00 noon.
No practice or casual games allowed during the qualifying portion of the tournament until your two games are completed for the round.
Qualifying: 6 double rounds, or 12 games played in 4 player groups.
Number of players to playoffs: The top 8 players make the playoffs.
Finals format: PAPA style finals, 4 player groups, 4 games per round. Top seed "drives the bus", CHOOSING GAMES (or order) from 3 different eras of machine in predefined groups.
This will score us a TGP of 160%!
