Sixteen players will start the year above the State Championship cut-line and one player will be launching themselves into the lead and blast off in 2026 with the #1 Florida ranking. Who will it be?
Sunday Jan 4, 2026 9 Fair Strikes Details:
The Sunday 2nd Chance Tournament is your third WPPR-tunity of the series and a great event for more casual players as all the top qualifiers from the main event will be in that tournament’s finals. Top finishers will get trophies plus some nice WPPRs.
9 Fair Strikes 0112 / 012 scoring. Plenty of play in this one since the minimum number of rounds you’ll play is 5 (if you were last every single round). Players are out after the 9th strike.
Doors Open / Registration / Optional Practice: 9:00 am to 11 am
Starts: Sun Jan 4 at 11:00 am
Trophies: Top 4
No Player Cap
Player Pairing: Balanced
Entry Fee: $15 + $1/game coin drop.
Entry Fee covers event-related expenses (20x40 foot tent rental in parking lot, IFPA fees, trophies, etc.). Excess entry fee money after expenses, if any, to be returned as prize money to players making the finals in the Main tournament.
FOOD / DRINK OPTIONS / ABOUT THE VENUE:
Moon Pizza Pie is co-located within the connected building with Satellite Pinball and in addition to great pizza (including gluten free crust options) they offer beer, wine and pre-made cocktails, espresso (might be helpful during qualifying!) and plenty of seating.
FREE PARKING:
There is ample free street parking in front, a small lot on the side and a larger free public lot in the back.
FOR TRAVELING PLAYERS:
Due to the unique nature of this event and timing where people tend to be off during these days immediately following the new year holiday, many players from outside of South Florida have verbally committed to play in addition to a large contingent of South Florida players. If you’re traveling, we highly recommend coming as a group and finding an Air B&B close by. For your convenience we have identified several hotels that are only 10 minutes away:
Best Western Ft. Lauderdale I-95 Inn
Days Inn by Wyndham Fort Lauderdale-Oakland Park Airport N
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ft Lauderdale N - Exec Airport by IHG
