Tournament Overview
Start Date: November 07, 2015
End Date: November 08, 2015
The "lept" event will be structured on the days of November, Saturday the 7th and sunday, the 8th, 2015 and will award points for the world ranking WPPR.
Two rounds of competition will be played for all players and without players eliminated until Sunday afternoon. All players compete on Saturday and Sunday playing two rounds of Pin-golf made of 9 Pin-Pin-Holes. Based on the Pin-Strokes earned in two qualifying rounds, the top 16 classified will enter to the final stage.
The awards show will take place on Sunday the 8th at the end of the tournament and will be a trophy for the first 3 players classified.
The tournament will be developed in two phases:
? Qualifications:
Players will complete two rounds of 9 Pin-Holes during the qualifications. Each Pin-Hole will consist of a pinball machine with a score to be reached. The number of balls used to reach this score (goal) will represent the number of Pin-Strokes earned for that "hole". If the player doesn't reach the score/goal after completing the game will be assigned to him a number of Pin-Stroke based on how close to the goal he came.
"For example, the TRON's score can be set at 20 million points. A player continues to play until he reaches 20 million (goal). If reached, the number of balls used to achieve this score will be recorded for that pinball machine/Hole (Pin-Hole). If the player fails to reach the goal score after 5 balls played a score will be assigned to him based on how close to the goal he came:
16.000.000 - 19.999.990 points = 6 strokes [80% of the par]
12.000.000 - 15.999.990 points = 7 strokes [60% of the par]
8.000.000 - 11.999.990 points = 8 strokes [40% of the par]
4.000.000 - 7.999.990 points = 9 strokes [20% of the par]
0 - 3.999.990 points = 10 strokes [<20% of the par]
A maximum of 10-Pin Strokes will be assigned for each pinball machine
Scores will be cumulative in both rounds."
As soon as a player reaches the goal he has to drop the ball, communicate it to a judge and other players will continue the game, his turn is over. If he continues to play more balls (despite having achieved the goal), even the latter will be charged to him.
? Finals:
At the end of the second qualifying round the best 16 scores, including any playoffs, will be qualified for the finals.
The final stage will take place with a board with double elimination (win/lose bracket):
or 1° - 4° classified in qualifications will earn 2 "bye" skipping the first two rounds,
or 5° - 8° classified in qualifications will earn 1 "bye" skipping the first round.
The classified from 9° to 16° place in qualifications will start the final stage. Single games in direct matches and/or qualifying groups will be played reaching the final.
The final will be played to the best of 5 games by the winner of the "win-bracket", who will choose the first pinball machine to be played, and by the winner of the "lose-bracket", the next pinball machines will be chosen by the loser who will start first.
Each player is free to arrive at the time he prefers to participate in qualifications on Saturday and Sunday but it will be his responsibility to manage the time available to complete all the games provided within the timeframe.
On the contrary, for the final stage all 16 qualified players must arrive within the expected time or they will be disqualified and other players will be included based on the classification obtained after the qualifications.
