- Top 20 players in the UKCS qualify.
- In the first round, the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th qualifiers play a single game. The lowest scorer drops out, the winner earns £10..
- The top three from the first round are then joined by the 16th qualifier to play another game chosen by the newcomer, with the lowest scorer dropping out and the winner earning £10.
- The 15th qualifier then joins and this format continues until the 1st qualifier joins.
- When the 1st qualifier joins to create the final four, each player chooses a machine to play and 4-2-1-0 points are awarded for places in each game. The points after all games have been played decide the final positions.
