Fort Wayne Pinball Wizard's World Arcade Selfie Tourney
Competitors will face off in a fierce two part competition – the Qualifying Tournament and the Finals Tournament. The “Qualifying” tournament runs from Jan. 17 to Feb 28 and consists of competitors posting photos or selfies (just of the machine and score,you don't have to be in the picture) of their high scores to an online scoreboard. The finals will take place Monday March 5, 730pm. To enter the competition, you must register for an account with MatchPlay. https://matchplay.events/
After creating an account on https://matchplay.events/ sign in and search for: Fort Wayne Pinball
The Fort Wayne Pinball Monthly Selfie Series will display. Click that and you will be ready to play.
Once you’ve got the ball rolling, get your head in the game and start racking up points on the five following pinball machines: Batman 66, Theater of Magic, Bobby Orr Power Play, Jackbot and Hollywood. To submit a score, log onto your Match Play account under the “The Fort Wayne Pinball Monthly Selfie Series,” select “Scores” from the top menu and then select the orange “Submit Scores” box to upload your selfies or photos of your score. If you get a higher score and wish to replace an older one, don’t worry! You can resubmit scores on any of the machines at any time.
On Monday March 5, 730pm everyone will play in a seeded finals event. The Cost is $1 (which goes to IFPA) and coin drop. This portion of the competition is sanctioned by the International Flipper Pinball Association who will award World Pinball Players by ranking competitors internationally with other Pinball Wizards on the official IFPA roster.
If you miss this competition, you can give it a shot every month of the year because Fort Wayne Pinball Wizard's World Arcade Selfie Tournament's are held every month. The same rules apply for each event, but every month will feature different games. In new months, participants simply need to register for a new competition and follow the same set of rules.
