Tournament location: Timezone Gold Coast - Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise.
Tournament fee: $20 per meeting ($10 hosting fee to Timezone, $10 club fee to purchase prizes etc).
TOURNAMENT FORMAT DETAILS:
Qualifying round:
Each player to play a single game on 5 or 6 machines as available each month.
Ranked first to last on each machine (with the use of matchplay software) with these rankings adding up to an overall rank.
Top 8 based on these results to progress to finals.
Finals round 1:
Single head to head (4 player) game, higher seed to choose (available) machine, lower seeds to choose order of play.
Group 1
Seed 1,3,5,7 from qualifying round.
Group 2
Seed 2,4,6,8 from qualifying round.
1st and 2nd from these groups advance to winners bracket, 3rd and 4th from these groups advance to losers bracket.
Finals round 2:
Single head to head (4 player) game forming the winners bracket, higher seed to choose (available) machine, lower seeds to choose order of play. Results determine final 1st - 4th place standings.
