DOLLAR GAME MANIA!
Saturday March 31, 2018
1pm sharp!
$1 entry fee
QUALIFYING
- 6 rounds of match play
- Players will be put into groups of 4 (or 3 as needed) and play ONE randomly selected game
- Scoring on each four player game is 7/5/3/1 and 7/4/1 in three player games
- Round 1 will use random grouping
- Rounds 2-6 will use Swiss seeding, grouping players by their current point total
NUMBER OF QUALIFIERS
- 16 - 23 players - Top 8 qualify
- 24 - 31 players – Top 12 qualify (top 4 receive byes)
- 32 or more players – Top 16 qualify
TOP QUALIFIER BONUS
- The top qualifier has the option to remove one machine from the rest of the tournament
PLAYOFFS
- Groups of 4 will compete in PAPA style group elimination
- Groups will be made based on qualifying seeds (1/8/9/16, 2/7/10/15, etc)
- Each round will contain 3 games with 4/2/1/0 scoring
- Top seed is the "bus driver" and has first choice of game or turn order for each game played
- Players may only choose a machine ONCE throughout the playoffs (min. 12 games available)
- A machine may not be played more than once by the same group in a round
- Top two from each group will advance to the next round
THE DOLLARS
- Each player puts down a dollar on each game played throughout the tournament until the final 4, where the stakes are raised
- Dollars will be rolled up and stored in the coin return while the game is in progress
- Winner of the game takes the dollars
Qualifying - $1 per player per game
Round of 16 - still $1 per game
Round of 8 - still $1 per game
Final 4 - $5 per game
