Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: July 01, 2018
Tournament Date: July 1st , 2018 5pm Start registration opens at 4pm
Beginner's and Youth Tourney.
If you would like to try IFPA Tournament Pinball without feeling pressure against seasoned tournament players, this Fort Wayne Pinball Wizard's World Arcade Tournament Series is for you.
The only cost is the $1 per tournament IFPA sanction fee and coin drop. Coin drop is the term we use for the quarters it takes to get a credit on each game played. Typically I spend $10 - $15 in coin drop per tournament (there are also those really bad tourney performances where 75 cents in coin drop is all I need).
Everyone of all ages is welcome to come play. There will be no cash prizes or trophy's for this series but hopefully a lot of new faces. There will always be tournament player's playing, but they are encouraged to help the beginners understand the rules and the flow of the tournament.
This Beginner's and Youth Tourney series event will take place throughout the year to help grow the sport of pinball. We will also be a little more lax on the rules during this series to help teach the beginners and youth. For instance, if you play out of turn instead of disqualification, Wizard's World will restart that game for everyone in that group. (1 restart per beginner per session, no restarts for experienced players). Tournament Director (TD) Will have final say.
We will have a variety of tournament's as well
3 strike (losses) knockout
Qualifying hour where everyone plays 6 random machines against a random opponent or more the first hour with a seeded finals match play based on qualifying
4 player match play 3 strikes (losses) knockout.
6 machine qualifier (everyone plays the same 6 machines) with seeded bracket single or double elimination finals.
Again, this series is to welcome new players to tournament play and help grow the sport of Pinball.
