Tournament Date: January 19, 2019
IFPA MS State Championship Pinball Tournament to be held on Sat Jan 19, 2019 in Flowood, MS.
Start time to be around 1 pm. Arrival time 11:30 am to 12:45 pm if playing in the MS State Championship Tournament. Practice time from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm. Call or text Stephen Thaxton (601)906-8983 for address and directions to this private residence. The gameroom will be open to visit and play pinball after completion of the MS State Championship Tournament. I will provide a main meat dish to eat. Please bring whatever side dish, snacks and drinks you want.
The top 16 ranked players from IFPA-sanctioned events and leagues held in Mississippi from throughout 2018 will compete for the chance to be crowned the 2018 IFPA MS State Pinball Champion, as well as the opportunity to go to Las Vegas, NV area and represent MS in the 2018-2019 IFPA National Championship.
Tournament machines will be a mixture of e-m's, classic solid state types, dmd type, and modern pinball machines, with year of manufacture being from approx. 1970's up through 2018.
Head-to-Head Single Elimination seeded format. Each 2-player match is Best-of-7 games on the winners side of the bracket, except best of 3 for deciding 3rd/4th places in the consolation match. All other finishing positions will also be played out in best-of-three game matches to determine 5th through 16th places.
There will be no entry fee for the main tournament. Cash prizes for all 16 places based on IFPA predetermined payout percentages tied to money collected during tournaments held in MS during year 2018.
