GENERAL INFORMATION:
Tournament Director: Ray Gillett.
Tournament location: Bowland Port Pirie, 71B Esmond Road, Port Pirie SA 5540
Tournament times: Commences 12pm.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT DETAILS:
1. There will be 7 rounds of 2 matches (14 games per player).
2. In each round players will be placed in groups of 4 (or 3 if odd numbers).
3. In each round each group will play 2 matches, one match on each of 2 different machines, and allocated points according to their finishing position; 7/5/3/1 for four player groups and 7/4/1 for three players groups. This is the IFPA system of scoring.
4. For the first round, groupings will be Random.
5. After the first round, groupings will be Balanced.
6. At the close of the seventh round, the player with the highest points score will be declared the tournament winner.
7. Ties will be broken by the number of first place finishes, then by the number of second place finishes and finally, if necessary, a single game play-off. Ties will only be broken for first, second and third places.
