Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: December 14, 2019
18 holes of PinGolf followed by playoffs for the top 4 finishers in each division. Everyone will play in randomly assigned twosomes, and each player is responsible for accurately recording and verifying his/her partner's stroke count on each PinHole. Tee off is at 1PM. 36 player maximum. First 36 respondents will be accepted.
Green fees are $20.
There are two divisions for awards & trophies. There will be a scratch master champion (no handicap) & a duffer champion (handicap subtracted from score). Handicaps are determined using data from each player's IFPA profile with equal weight given to state rank, world rank, player rating, and player efficiency. To be eligible for handicap competition, a player must have a minimum of 5 IFPA events played within the calendar year.
PinGolf Rules:
1.Each player will complete one 18 hole round of PinGolf
2.Each "PinHole" has a target score. The number of balls it takes to reach the target score will represent the "PinStrokes" for each hole.
3. All games are set to 5 balls. If a player does not reach the target score within 5 PinStrokes, an index card on each game will help to determine the score for the hole
4 Extra balls are turned off.
5.On the final hole (No Good Gofers), there is a skill shot opportunity for a hole in one. Before plunging, make sure your partner witnesses the attempt. If the shot is made, play will immediately stop, and the player will be given a score of 1 for the hole. If the skill shot is missed, play continues until the target score is reached or until all strokes have been played.
All games are set up to knock when the target score threshold is reached.
Previous Phoenix PinGolf Challenge scratch division champions are not eligible to play in the handicap division, and will play with a handicap of zero.
