The Ultimate Pinball Carnage. December 14th, 2019 at The 1UP Arcade Bar - Colfax
Doors open at 11am, Tournament starts at 1pm.
$20 entry fee. The format will be SweDen style!
NOTE ABOUT MATCH PLAY:
PLEASE sign up for a free MatchPlay account and "claim yourself." This will take 3 minutes tops and if you can do this BEFORE signing up on Sunday and not asking me how to do it at 12:55p, you'll be one of my favorite players. You'll need to have your IFPA number on hand.
So go to https://matchplay.events and create an account if you don't already have one. Then follow the prompts to "claim player." Use your IFPA player number to verify the player you are claiming is you.
Find your IFPA player number by searching for yourself here: https://www.ifpapinball.com/players/find.php and clicking on your player profile.

FORMAT:
Qualifications format is Swe-Den style, Match play Head 2 Head, Double Round Robin. Groups will be formed based on IFPA rankings. The tournament participants are divided up into groups of around 6 people where everybody in the group play each other twice on games “drawn from a hat”, best of 1 game. That is typically something like 10 matches per person and should take 4 hours.
Playoffs: Bracket. 12 players (or around top 25% per group from qualifications) advances to playoffs. 4-player group matches. 3 games per match. Top 2 per group advances until a 4-player final is played. The number of groups, players per group and number of players advancing to playoffs may change depending on the total number of participants.
PAPA/IFPA rules will be used for rulings. https://www.ifpapinball.com/menu/rules/
$200 added to the pot from the bar.
100% payback to the top 6 players. WPPR points and cash.
Stern Goodies will be awarded and given out randomly.
All WPPR fees will be paid by The 1up and not taken from the pot.
There will be NO monthly tournament on Sunday Dec. 15th, that is the day of Ultimate Pinball Challenge at LODO.
This will be an all ages tournament but if you under 21, or bringing someone under 21, let me know in advance.
Park at street meters but check for time limits. You can also park on the side streets, check signage.
Don't park in parking lots of businesses across the street, they will tow you.
