Sunday, February 16, 2020: The Have a Heart Valentine’s Weekend Blowout w/ side tourney
Did you earn points with your spouse on Valentine’s Day? Use some of them up to come join us for a Pinball tourney in Lake Charles!
This is intended to be a short tournament. You may start as early as 1pm and you must show up by 2pm to be allowed to get started. The tourney will utilize the best game format of the matchplay software on a 95% modified decay scoring format.
Main tourney: The main tourney will be on the match play softwares best game format scored on a 95% modified decay format. There will be six different games in play, and you’ll get two plays on each game with both of your games counting (so 12 meaningful games in the qualifying period). The top four will qualify for the finals and the finals will be three four player games using the papa style format (3 points for first, 2 points for second, and 1 point for third on each game). with the first place picking from among the four games for a four player game with last place dropping out, then it’ll be a three player game selected by the winner of the first game with last place dropping out, then it’ll be the final game to determine the winner (so 16 meaningful games in total).
Side tourney: The side tourney will be played on a single game. You will be given two opportunities to play and your two scores will both count on matchplay best game (so the qualifying will have two meaningful games). The top four qualifiers will then play head to head with the bottom two dropping out and then there will be a final single game to determine first and second place (so the entire side tournament will have a total of five meaningful games).
The total entree fees, which will cover both events, if $5. You must pre-register for this event, spots are limited to no more than 25 players (we do not expect this event to fill).
