Welcome to the 2nd Annual Survivor Tournament

This year is bigger and better than last year, no spreadsheets, better randomization and all on Match Play.

If you like pinball, WPPR's and music, this is the tournament to be at. A Die Hard Pinball major tournament, the league will be adding $500 to the prize pool to make this an even better event.

Tournament play will be done with the lights off and the music up. The music is specially chosen by DJ Mediocrity (DJ Harvey) to enhance your pinball experience.

The main tournament will run 15 rounds of match play format. You will be randomly assigned into a group of 4 and play one of the DMD/Modern LCD machines. Points will be awarded in a 3/2/1/0 format.

Top 40% (rounded up to next player) will make the finals. There will be plaques and cash prizes for the top 3 players.

Next 8 will make the B finals (top 1000 IFPA players excluded) will play for plaques and cash prizes, and the top 4 novice players (top 2500 IFPA players excluded) will play for plaques and cash prizes.

Finals for all divisions will be a survivor format which is as follows:

All playoff participants will be in groups of 12 (if more than 12 make the finals, players will be split into equal groups less than 12. for example if 18 make the finals there will be 2 groups of 9)

Players will play in reverse seed order. The first player will play a randomly assigned game and post the score to beat. The next player will play until the beat the target score set by a previous player. The player with the worst score for each round will be eliminated from the tournament. The tournament winner will be the last player remaining.

This format will be the same for B finals and Novice Finals.

There will be plaques and cash prizes for the top 3 in each division. If enough players register we reserve the right to add 4th place cash prizes.

The tournament entry fee is $100 and will cover the following:

Weekend pass to Arkadium for Friday - Sunday Aug 6-8.
Entry into all 3 tournaments of the weekend.
The rest will be given out as cash prizes and pay for plaques - Remember DHPL is adding $500 to the prize pool.

This Tournament will run 10 Rounds on Saturday Aug 7 starting at 12:30 pm and 5 Rounds on Sunday Aug 8 at Noon. Playoffs will run right after the regular rounds finish on Sunday.
