Qualification: 8 rounds of 4 player matchplay, with scoriing for each round 9,5,2,0. Top players either based on IFPA rank (for first round) and then points for subsequent rounds always matched against each other.
After qualificacuon top 2 go straight through to final, 5th to 8th play off over one four player game, top 2 progress to play against 3rd and 4th and play off over one four player game to play 1st and 2nd in one game final.

(Note - no of meaningful games doubled from 9 to 18 as all matches four player games).
