Tournament will consist of group match play for the qualifying and finals rounds.
Qualifying consists of three sets:
1st and 2nd set -
Each set consists of 3 games for 1 round.
Seeding based off IFPA standings.
Set 1 will consist of "adjacent" pairing; players will face other players with a similar standing (new to IFPA, you'll play with the lowest seeds).
Set 2 will be "slaughter" pairing; top seeds vs lower seeds.
Set 3 - 1 game each round for 3 rounds. Groups switch players between rounds. Initial seeding is based on tournament standings. Pairing is adjacent, and "swiss" for subsequent rounds: players face other players with a similar score in set 3.
Finals:
Top 4 from qualifying advance to finals.
Seeding based on finishing position of sets 1-3.
3 games for 1 round
All games on, Rush
Player order -
Match play determines player order for the 1st game of sets 1 and 2, and for all games in set 3.
2nd and 3rd games for sets 1 and 2 are determined by finishing position on the previous game; *last place of the previous game picks position on the next game, followed by 3rd, 2nd, and 1st. MP will not make this adjustment, and each group must figure out the order before playing their game.
For finals, the 1st game's player order is determined by the 1st seed, followed by 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Subsequent games are determined by finishing position on the previous game (*see above)
Tie-breakers -
Determined by number of 1st and 2nd place finishes. If players are still tied, one full game will be played on, Rush, to break the tie.
Games will be set to competition mode to remove randomness.
EB will still be on, but you can't play the EB; you can setup the plunge by using the buttons as needed, before the plunge, but once the ball is plunged out of the shooter lane the player must not interfere with the ball's trajectory (no nudging, or flipping allowed).
