Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: April 02, 2022
Alabaster Pinball League will host a "Flip Frenzy Pinball Tournament".
on Saturday, April 2nd. The location will be Duane Connell's house at
203 Chestnut Circle in Alabaster, AL. Duane has one of the best home pinball
collections in the state of Alabama, and making this a 'must see' location
for any Alabama pinball fan.
Practice begins at 10:30, and the tournament will officially begin at 11:00 AM.
The cost of this tournament will be $15.00 per player. The breakdown is:
$9.00 into the prize pot - 50% A pot, 50% B pot
$5.00 Fee for Pizza & drinks
$1.00 IFPA Fee - This will be an IFPA recognized tournament.
THERE IS NO COINDROP fee for many games of pinball all day long!
Flip Frenzy tournaments (also known as Pinball! Pinball! Pinball! tournaments) are,
as the name implies, very hectic and very fun tournaments. The tournament will run
from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. We will take a break for Pizza & drinks, and then have
our playoffs at 3:00 PM. The top 50% of players will play in the "A" finals,
and all other players will play in the "B" finals. The finals format will be
an "Amazing Race" format.
How a "Flip Frenzy Pinball Tournament" works:
When the tournament starts, head-to-head matches are created on many machines,
and any players not assigned to a match are placed in a queue.
When a match ends, a new game will be created using the following approach:
Player 1 will become Player 2 on the new game.
Player 2 will go to the bottom of the queue.
The player at the top of the queue will become Player 1 on the new game.
The tournament will progress in this manner until the timer runs out.
The winner is the player with the most net wins.
