Join us for a Two-Day Pinball Event celebrating the release of the Santa Ana River Brewing Company & Laguna Beer Company Collaboration Beer “Pin Pals” West Coast IPA. Since both locations offer pinball, we are holding a two-part tournament Friday 4/15 in Santa Ana and Saturday 4/16 in Huntington Beach. Saturday’s Final Tournament will have delicious Texas BBQ available from 210 Smokehouse and stick around for live music at 5pm from local bands, The Rage, The Unknowns, and Butta!
The tournament is formatted so that everyone plays BOTH days and are paired in the finals with players on their level – so bring friends and family that have never played in a tournament – everyone has a chance to win!
This is a 2-Day Group MatchPlay format event with the qualifying rounds being held at the Santa Ana River Brewing Company on Friday 4/15, and the finals being held the next day (4/16) at the Laguna Beer Company in Huntington Beach. Cash and/or prizes for the top 4 players in each of 2 divisions + more fun like consolation and high-score prizes. Entry fee is $19 + $1 IFPA FEE plus coin-drop.
Registration and warm up is 6PM-7PM on Friday 4/15 and 1PM-2PM on Saturday 4/16
Tournament: 7PM Friday 4/15 and 2PM Saturday 4/16
We are running a Group MatchPlay tournament using MatchPlay events.
Machines used TBD tournament day.
Qualifying Rounds: Players will be grouped in threes or fours. To determine Saturday's Divisions will be 1 round of 5 matches, standard Group MatchPlay. This means every player will play 5 matches in the same group in total to determine their position in Saturday's tournament. Games are chosen by the 4th (or 3rd) place player. The group will be split into half based on the results.
Final Rounds: Players will be grouped in threes or fours with other players from their division determined Friday. There will be 8 rounds of 1 match, standard Group MatchPlay This means that every player will play with a new group each round on a randomly chosen machine, for a total of 8 games.
Grouping will be random for day 1 and balanced on day 2.
Ties will be broken automatically by comparing the strengths of opponents faced.
Cash for 1st and 2nd, Prizes for 3rd and 4th (with consolations) in each of 2 Divisions
