Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: June 11, 2022

This is a small event. We are limiting this event to 20 attendees (though we are showing approval with the IFPA for up to 22 people on the off chance that people who register unexpectantly materializes with a child or spouse who really wants to play…we do not want to turn people away). You must register in advance for this event, first come first serve…we expect this event to fill up within a couple weeks or so of posting so if you are reading this a day or two before the event we will likely not have any open spaces remaining, but do reach out and inquire.

Event starts at 2pm. You may show up any time after 1pm to practice. You may not show up after 3pm and commence playing

Alright, here is the skinny:

Qualifying will be through the Best Game format on MatchPlay with a 95% modified decay scoring system. You get two plays on each game. We will have eight (8) games ready to play: Transformers Pro, TMNT Pro, Frankenstein, Tales from the Crypt, Deadpool Pro, Solar Ride, Countdown, and Pinball Pool (Pinball Pool is down right now, so it being available is somewhat iffy…parts on order). Both best games count and will be entered in to MatchPlay software.

The top eight qualifiers following the best game qualifier will then be split in to two groups of four, and will play a four player game with last place dropping off…then the two groups of three will play a three player game with last place dropping off from each group…the two groups will then be merged into one group of four and play a four player game with last place dropping off, then a three player game with last place dropping off, then a two player game to determine first and second place.

The entry fee is $3 per player. Anyone who comes dressed in WW2 era garb will have the $3 fee waived.

This is Paul’s first time to host a tourney at his house, he lives fairly far outside of Lake Charles proper. Bring whatever you might like to drink or eat, Paul will allow alcohol at his house so you may bring your own beer…but you absolutely must have a designated driver or you may not bring or consume alcohol…

You can register for this event by PM’ing TigerLaw through Pinside or by emailing pav2207@gmail.com If you email Pav to register, you must include “Pinball” in the subject line (otherwise she may miss your email). If you have not heard back within three days of your email, you can reach out to Louisiana IFPA rep Mike VanEtten at 337-962-4078
