Event Date is August 6.
Stephen Wylie and Stacy Devino, long time members of the DFW Pinball and Arcade Club, have generously opened their home in Carrollton, Texas for our league.
The last time the league went to their house, in August 2021, it was a great event! We can't wait to join them again!
Urgent: Please note the PARKING info at the end of this description - there are specific parking rules for this venue!!
PUBLIC TOURNAMENT (THIS REGISTRATION) IS OPEN TO EVERYONE AND WILL START IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE LEAGUE FINALS.
MULTIPLE WAYS TO PLAY:
(Ways 3 and 4 below are open to ANYONE)
WAYS TO PLAY 1 AND 2:
----- DFW 2022 SPRING/SUMMER PINBALL LEAGUE FINALS (way to play 1) - See the listing about this event on the IFPA League Calendar.
----- The DFW Women's League runs a concurrent event structured similarly - see their Facebook page for specific rules.
Doors open for and Registration starts for the League Finals at 11:30 AM.
There will be NO WARMUP prior to this time.
Finals start promptly (as close to NOON as possible).
WAY TO PLAY 3:
---- IFPA TOURNAMENT (Open to Everyone - the subject of this IFPA calendar item)-
THIS tournament starts immediately AFTER the league finals.
We estimate that will be around 2:30 PM.
Attendance on this one is OPEN (no limit) so no need to RSVP!
This is a group matchplay style tournament.
Finals TBD -- but we usually do (1) Group Elimination/PAPA Style, (2) 2 Strikes, or (3) Best of 3 Brackets.
THERE WILL BE PLAYOFFS FOR BOTH A AND B DIVISIONS SO ALL SKILL LEVELS CAN PLAY AND WIN!
"A" finals affects standings.
Per IFPA rule, "B" does not - its for fun...
We have PRIZES for the B Division players and ...
... ALSO random door prizes for ANYONE in the tournament regardless of standings/rankings!
The B Division is restricted based on rules published on the league website -- many of the top players are excluded from the B Division.
This makes certain that ANYONE CAN WIN!
WAY TO PLAY 4:
Based on the final standings from the tournament's qualifying (from way to play 3), we also hold a:
----- "KIDZ FINAL"
This is ONE GAME played by kids aged 16 and under for an age appropriate prize!
To insure that its fair for all kids and that everyone has a chance to win, a child will be EXCLUDED from the KIDZ FINAL for next two events after they WIN, thus giving other kids a chance to win too.
The KIDZ Final is unsanctioned and exclusive of the tournament playoffs. That means kids can play in BOTH!
