Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: August 21, 2022
Maximum # of players: 40. Price for all weekend is $99 for Fri-Sun, Aug. 19-21 tourneys. This does not include separate entry into CNE grounds. $99 payment to be made to CNE@PinballLeds.ca. See website for all tourneys Aug. 19-21, 2022. Presented by Maple Pinball.
For those available, we have a fun, IFPA event for you to end the opening weekend. First 40 players to register at 6pm on Sunday will participate. Attendance at 6:20 pm on Sun., Aug. 21st. Play to begin at 6:30pm. No new games after 9:15pm.
What?!? One ball? Yes!!! Karl DeAngelo approved and tested! The software will tell you which game, which player you are playing, and in which order. Standings are based on your win-loss differential. If you have 16 wins and 11 losses, you would have a +5 win/loss differential. Tie breakers are fewest losses. (So a person who is 16 wins, 11 losses with a differential of +5 is ahead in standings of someone with a 17 win, 12 loss record, even though they both have +5 differential). If there’s a tie for 8th place, a tie-breaker game will be played with players tied for 8th. Random order for players tied in tie-breaker game.
Top 8 after 9:15pm will make playoffs. Games (one ball) will be randomly selected. Higher seed has choice of order. The finals will be a bracket: 1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, 3 vs. 6 and 4 vs. 5. One game per matchup. Winners advance to semi’s. Players not in semi’s will play a 4 player group for 5th through 8th standings. With 4 players in semi’s, they will play on the winner’s side of the bracket in a head-to-head game. Losers of the semi’s will play one game against each other to determine 3rd and 4th. Finals, last two players standing will play one game with one ball. This is crazy! Yup! It’s the end of the weekend…we want to go home.
Prizes for top 4 players (no cash). TGP is an estimate. Accurate TGP won't be known until tourney is done.
