MULTIPLE WAYS TO PLAY:
WAY TO PLAY 1:
----- DFW 2023 PINBALL LEAGUE FALL EVENT 3 (Found on the IFPA League Calendar) -
Players will play 4 games in a group of 4 people.
The groups are balanced across all of the qualifiers using the netx.matchplay.events website.
Its that simple!
Each league qualifier will be structured the same.
DFW Pinball League scoring rules, how to make the playoffs, and playoff structure/details are all published on the league's website (http://dfw-pinball-league.webnode.com/).
WAY TO PLAY 2:
----- THE IFPA TOURNAMENT (This Posting) -
This tournament starts immediately AFTER league play end!
We estimate that this will be around 1:30 PM.
Your entry fee covers BOTH league and tournament play, so you are welcome to play in both if you like!
Qualifying is "group matchplay style".
This means you'll be playing in four player groups on multiple machines.
Playoffs/Finals will LIKELY be Group Elimination/PAPA Style, which is similar to the above, but with lower performing players being eliminated as we go forward (until there's a winner).
THERE WILL BE PLAYOFFS FOR BOTH A AND B DIVISIONS SO ALL SKILL LEVELS CAN PLAY AND WIN!
We have PRIZES for the B Division players and ...
... ALSO random door prizes for ANYONE in the tournament regardless of standings/rankings!
The B Division is restricted based on rules published on the league website -- many of the top players are excluded from the B Division so that ANYONE CAN WIN!
For the tournament, Late entrants will be allowed until sometime AROUND 3:30 PM (halfway through qualifying).
WAY TO PLAY 3:
Based on the standings after round 3 from the tournament's qualifying (from way to play 2), we also hold a:
----- "KIDZ FINAL"
This is ONE GAME played by kids aged 16 and under for a TOY BLASTER that has been provided by Jared Guynes' www.blasterbattle.com !!!
To insure that its fair and everyone can win, a child is EXCLUDED from the KIDZ FINAL for next TWO events after they WIN, thus giving other kids a chance to win too.
The KIDZ Final is unsanctioned/exclusive from the tournament playoffs.
That means kids can play in BOTH if they want!
