This is the main event for the Seattle Women’s Super Weekend at Ice Box Arcade, Oct. 5-8th 2023. If possible, we will be streaming at least finals for this tournament at twitch.tv/southsoundpinball. Follow South Sound Pinball on Facebook for updates! This is a women’s only event; we are inclusive in our definition of the word women. LGBTQIA+, non-binary, and trans players are more than welcome!

Buy-in for matchplay will be $20.

The Classics Best Game finals are expected to finish between 1:00-2:00pm. SW2: Group Matchplay will begin at 2:00pm OR 15 minutes after the completion of the Classics Best Game finals, whichever is later. Registration for the SW2 Group Matchplay tourney will open at 1:30pm; there is an 80 player cap for this tourney.

Participants will play 7 rounds of group matchplay; each round will be played on a bank of three arenas. Scoring will be 7/5/3/1, or 7/4/1 in the event of a three player group. There will be about an hour-long dinner break in the evening between rounds, sometime around 6-7pm. I estimate around 60 minutes per round, so expect this tourney to stretch into the evening.

IF WE DO NOT DRAW ROUND 7 BY 11:45PM SATURDAY EVENING, ROUNDS WILL RESUME AT 11:00AM SHARP SUNDAY MORNING!

Assuming all 7 rounds of matchplay are completed, we will begin finals Sunday morning at noon using these groupings, which count on 48 players in attendance:

A division: Top 24 go into group elimination final Sunday. Banks of 3 games, top seed picks bank OR player order. Players can't choose the same bank more than once,

B division: next 8 players IPR 4 or less

C division: next 4 players IPR 2 or less

TD will adjust these numbers if attendance goals are not met.

All A-division finalists will at minimum receive buy-in back, possibly more if we get more participants. Once all finalists (C-div, B-div, and 5th-24th A-div) are paid out, the top four will receive approximately 10/20/30/40% of what remains, adjusted to reflect a reasonable increase from the 5th-8th prizes. This tournament will earn the maximum 200% TGP, possibly plus a 125% booster if we reach certification requirements.
