Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: November 11, 2023
Announcing GORGARMAGEDDON 2023!! Brought to you by Orange County Pinball Club, Rock Fantasy, and Quinnz Pinz.
This will be the first ever ALL GORGAR tournament in recorded pinball history! We have 6 Gorgars lined up and maybe more. No preregistration required.
Where: Quinnz Pinz Bowling/Arcade/Live Performance Venue, 13 Railroad Ave Middletown NY 10940
When: Saturday November 11, 2023. Qualifying begins 1:00pm, ends 7:06 pm sharp (hands off flippers). Finals for the top 8 begin approx. 7:30.
What: A sanctioned International Flipper Pinball Association Tournament, “Best Game” qualifying on a bank of Gorgars, with “Group Knockout” 2 strike finals for top 8 (anyone tied for top 8 makes the finals).
Qualifying Round 1:00pm-7:06 pm: Entry fee $20 for 10 attempts. (Includes $5 venue hosting fee (in lieu of coin drop). $1 for IFPA sanction fee. Remaining $14 goes to prize pool). Additional attempts available $ 10 for 5 additional attempts. NO REFUNDS ON UNUSED ATTEMPTS!!
Each player must play each Gorgar in the qualifying bank at least once, with unlimited attempts until the end of qualifying round. Only your best score will count on each game. Plunge Extra Balls!! Player score will be ranked with all other recorded scores, and the aggregate rankings will determine overall standings.
Finals (approx. 7:30pm): Top 8 ranked players (including those tied for 8th place) will qualify for finals. Finals will be a group knockout, 2 strikes format. Players in 3rd or 4th place in each match will receive a strike. 2 strikes and you’re out! Game picks and player order will be randomly selected by computer program. Random seeding in first round, then swiss pairing takes over. Top 8 players receive cash prizes: 35/20/15/10/5/5/5/5 % of prize pool
In the evening, there will be live music with performances by World Demise, Abuse Ritual, Servant of Sorrow, Hells Teeth. (artist lineup subject to change).
