Qualifying: 7 rounds of group match play

For qualifying, you'll play in random groups of 3 or 4 players. Win qualifying points by doing well in your game: 7/5/3/1 points for 4-player groups; 7/4/1 points for 3-player groups. (We'll use the Balanced pairings setting so that you get to meet and play against a wider variety of other players.)

Finals: Group Elimination Bracket with *one* game per round
(we're switching to 1 game per round because 2 games per round took too long last month)

Finals will include 8, 12, 14, or 16 players based on attendance.
Qualifying with fewer than 24 players: top 8
Q w/ 24 to 27 players: top 12 w/ four 3-player groups in quarterfinal (then top 8)
Q w/ 28 to 31 players: top 14 w/ one round bye for the top two seeds and three 4-player groups in quarterfinals (then top 8)
Q w/ 32+ players: top 16 (no byes)

Top seed in each group will have the choice of game (or position) in the quarterfinals and semifinals (no waiting for a game that was selected by an earlier group). A player must pick a game that's different from their previous selections each time they make a game choice (even across rounds). Final round will be on Venom.

Full game tiebreaker for anyone who is tied on match points to advance to the finals or to earn a bye. Tiebreakers will use a randomly selected game. Automatic tiebreakers will be used for seeding with a random order used for seeding among players who are exactly tied.

The games will be on their normal settings of either $1 per play or 3 plays for $2.
