Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: November 18, 2023
This is the monthly tournament at Pizza West in Shawnee that occurs every third Saturday at 5pm. For 2023 we are going to be rotating through a few different formats to keep things interesting. Entry will still be $5 and all money will be paid out to the field of players. IFPA fees are sponsored by the operators. A trophy will be awarded for first place each month.
Format: Target Match Play
Players will be put into groups of 4 where possible and 3 where necessary. Scoring will be 4-2-1-0 in 4 player groups and 4-2-1 in 3 player groups. We will play 1 game per round and then redraw groups and machines using match play. The first player to reach 21 points will be declared the winner and the tournament is over. If multiple players reach the target score on the same round, the player with the higher total is the winner. If they are tied a game will be selected by the tournament director to be used as a tiebreaker. Only ties for first position will be broken this way. Automatic tiebreakers in matchplay will be turned on and will supersede any tie other than a tiebreaker for first place.
