Tournament Overview

Start Date: December 28, 2023
End Date: December 30, 2023

Come on down to Kidforce Collectibles for a FREE ENTRY Last Chance Herb Style! There is no entry fee or Best Game ticket price, games are on coin drop. This event is IFPA Certified (assuming 48 players), leading to an additional WPPR multiplier!

QUALIFYING:
Qualifying will last from 12pm to 10pm on Thursday and Friday (December 28th-29th). There will be, at minimum, 16 games in the qualifying bank, the best 12 of which will count for your final standing. Each game can be played an unlimited amount of times.

PLAYOFFS:
Playoffs will start at 12pm on Saturday (December 30th). The top 24 players will make the playoffs, with the top 8 players receiving one bye. Playoffs will be PAPA style, 3 games per round with 4/2/1/0 scoring. The top 2 players from each group will advance to the next round. The highest seeded player will receive pick of order for the first game and pick of bank for the round. Remaining picks of order will proceed in seed order. Picks of order after the first game will be selected based on the finish in the previous game, with last place getting first pick, second to last getting second, etc. A player may not pick a bank picked by a higher seeded group, a player may not pick a bank more than once in the playoffs.

TIES:
In the event of a qualifying tie, the tie will be broken by highest finishing game (ex. Player A and Player B both have 400 points. Player A's best game was 3rd, while Player B's best game was 5th. Player A wins the tiebreaker). If it remains tied, the second highest finishing game will be used, then third, etc.

MALFUNCTIONS:
In the event of a catastrophic (unrepairable within the confines of the tournament) malfunction in the middle of qualifying, game standings will still count if the malfunction happens after 2pm on Friday. Otherwise, the game standings will not count. All other malfunctions will be dealt with by the TDs, as appropriate.

RULINGS:
Rulings will generally follow the most up to date version of IFPA/PAPA. Leniency will be given during the qualifying period to encourage participation from more casual players.

SIDE POT:
There will be a side pot. Players can buy in to the side pot at the beginning of playoffs. All other details TBD.
