Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: January 21, 2024
At the end of the 2023 calendar year, a total of 16 players, comprised of the top 8 ranked players with the most WPPR points based on open events and the top 8 ranked players with the most WPPR points based on women’s-only events will qualify for the Connecticut state championships, where they will play for the title of IFPA Connecticut State Women's Champion.
The tournament will be a head-to-head, single elimination bracket with best-of-7 matches.
Time: Doors at 12pm for warm up, tournament starts at 1pm
The IFPA does not currently charge an endorsement fee for women’s events. As such, entry into the Women’s State Championship will be $20 per player, 100% of which will go to the prize pool, plus the $20 venue door fee. All games are set to free play.
In order to qualify, you must be registered with the IFPA by the end of the 2023 calendar year. Players can tell if they are registered by checking their player profile for a green checkmark next to "registered". The winner of each women’s state/provincial championship will be invited to participate in the Women’s North American Championship, to be held at Wizard’s World Arcade in Fort Wayne, IN, on March 22, 2024. If the winner cannot attend, the runner-up will be invited to participate.
