Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: October 04, 2014
Pintoberfest 2014 is on. This will be on October 4, 2014. We are running this at Pinball Wizard Arcade in Pelham, NH from noon-11pm. Last year we ended at 11:05pm, this year should be shorter, as I promise the golf portion will not be as painfully long as it was last year.

Pinball Wizard opens at 10am, and signups are cut off at 11:30am (sharp). So please get there as early as possible.
This tourney is going to be limited to the first 40 people.
The main event will be a combination of PinGolf, and League Style play ( 5-3-2-1 scoring ). The Golf scoring will be backwards in order to be compatible with league scoring. (hole in one = 3, on 2nd ball = 2, on 3rd ball = 1 not at all = 0).
The cost of the main event will be $30, there will also be a side classics tourney that will be $10.
We will start off with a 9 hole course of Golf (random 3/4 player groupings - doesn't matter as you are playing as individuals). Then with the PinGolf results we can seed for the league style play. We will then break up into the 3/4 player groups based on seedings, and play a round of league style play ( 4 games ), once those scores come in, they will be added to the original Golf scores, and we will seed one more time for last round of league style play. Once again we will break up into the 3/4 player groups based on seedings, and play a round of league style play ( 4 games ). Once those scores come in we will add up the Golf, round 1 league style play, round 2 league style play scores. The top 6 will move on. The top 6 will be broken into 2 3 player groups, they will play league style on 3 games. The top 3 will move on in the money, but will play 1 more round of 3 to determine order. If there are any ties that will prevent a top 3, we will break ties on one of the classic machines that can be randomly picked. There will be cash prizes and homemade trophies ( made by James Calcia ).
EXTRA BALLS WILL NOT BE PLAYED...just plunged in all events. If you run into a game where plunging doesn't seem possible ( as if you plunge over and over, and no switches get hit), you are allowed a single flipper hit. No trapping and taking a shot, just a slap of the flipper to make a switch it, then let it drain.
Prize breakdown will be based on what entries fees that are collected –
1st place = 50% of the pot
2nd place 30% of the pot
3rd place 15% of the pot
(5% withheld to cover costs or trophies, supplies).
There will also be an optional side tourney that consists of 4 classic games. You get one shot with your highest score. You must have you sheet validated by an official or another player.
This will have the same payout style as the main tournament:
1st place 50% of the pot
2nd place 30% of the pot
3rd place 15% of the pot
(5% withheld to cover costs or trophies, supplies).
So please arrive early to signup, and warm up. We will have some breaks during calculations in scoring, and may put in a break for food.
There is a sub shop, Chinese, Subway, and a Micky D's all right nearby. I imagine the scoring breaks may be like around 15-30 minutes, not a bad time to grab a quick bite (call ahead so it will be ready when you are ready). We want to make sure we keep things moving, as we have to finish this out in the time allotted.
Thats all I can think of now... any questions let me know.
