Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: March 23, 2024
This is an official Stern Army and IFPA sanctioned event.
Date: Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Location: ULEKstore's Pinball and Classic Arcade
2121 N Monroe St., Monroe, MI 48162
(located inside of the Mall of Monroe)
Time: Doors to the arcade will open at 9am, our tournament will start promptly at 3:30pm. Please be to the arcade and signed up at least 15 minutes in advance to ensure that we start up on time.
Fee: $6.00 plus coin drop ($1.00 towards IFPA fees + $5.00 pays out to players in each division)
Format: This will be a timed tournament. We will play from 3:30pm - 7pm. NO NEW QUALIFYING ROUNDS will start after 7pm
All of the qualifying rounds will have IFPA scoring of 7/5/3/1 (groups of 4) or 7/4/1 (in groups of 3).
Finals: After the qualifying rounds have been completed, the top 12 seeds will compete in A, B and C Division Finals. The finals will be in a PAPA style format, where the top seed from each division will get to either pick the games or order. Each division will pick 3 games with scoring of 4,2,1,0. After the 3 rounds are over, the highest total score of all 3 games determines the winner of that division, second highest score is the second place finisher... and so on.
A-Division will consist of players 1 - 4 and will play in a best of 3 games finals format.
1st Place- 25% of prize pool + A Division Trophy
2nd Place- 15% of prize pool
3rd Place - 10% of prize pool
B-Division will consist of players 5 - 8 and will play in a best of 3 games finals format.
1st Place - 15% of prize pool + B Division Trophy
2nd Place - 10% of prize pool
3rd Place - 5% of the prize pool
C-Divison will consist of players 9 - 12 and will play in a best of 3 games finals format.
1st Place - 10% of prize pool + C Division Trophy
2nd Place - 5% of prize pool
3rd Place - 5% of prize pool
DIVISION FINALS FORMAT: Each division will pick three (3) games to play. One of those games MUST be on JAWS and one of the games MUST be a Solid State (Classic) pinball machine. The last game can be any game that is currently in the "active" arenas.
We will be giving away random door prizes; such as official Stern Army SWAG, a JAWS pinball translite and EXCLUSIVE prizes created and given away from ULEKstore.com. These items WILL NOT be for sale - they will ONLY be created and given away during our launch party.
