Francesco La Rocca with Koi Morris,,Frank Romero , Paul Drabik ,Steven Bowden, is glad to announce : Fall Pinball Charity Event for Flip Off Hunger in New Jersey at 8OnTheBreak
All machines will be on coin drop
Registration at Noon am when place will open .
Main tourney will start at 1:30 pm
Side tourney will start when 4 people will be left on Main Tournament meaning I will stop Main Tourney !!
This tournament is considered annual by IFPA - International Flipper Pinball Association,
so will be a full value IFPA WPPR points for Main Event and will have a Side tourney worth of half value IFPA WPPR points
Cost : Main tourney is $ 10 with lots of Prizes and side tourney : $ 5 (all money from Main and Side will go to benefit Flip Off Hunger)
Main Tourney will use Brackelope tournament with 4 strikes in a 2 out of 3 match with 2 players on same machine ( lose 4 times and you will be out of tourney ) . Note :When paired players each have 1 or more strikes, then they will play a single game rather than 2 out of 3 (so a 1 strike vs 0 ,a 1 vs 1 , 1 strikes vs 2 , 2 vs 2 , 1 vs 3 will be a single game match ! In other words ONLY 0 vs 0 will be 2 out of 3 ! )
Side tourney will use also Brackelope Knockout 4 strikes match play with 3 or 4 players per group where on each match the winner will have no strikes but the other players will get 1 strike ( This side tourney format might change based on the location and could be a simple best score on 1 game , best score as pingolf in a game etc ! ) .
All machines will play as they are and where is possible will be put in tournament mode and no extra balls ( even if you get an extra balls that MUST be plunged or lose the match ! )
- For this tournament we will use all machines but EMS so you can play those (if any present) at all times unless one or more of those machines will be used for Main or Side tourney and announced .
- This tournament will be based on 3 balls per game so even if you get an extra ball on ball 1 then the extra ball will count as ball 2 and you will play it. Ball 2 originally will become ball 3 and after that ball you will have your final score meaning that even if you have 5 more extra balls they wont count at all ( no plunge for more points ! ) .
This might change based on location.
- NO PRACTICE on any machines used for Main or Side after tourney start , you will get a strike penalty !!!
-Tilting someone else ball will result in a one ball penalty for the offender (, in other word if you are in ball 1 and tilt next player then you wont play ball 3 , if that happened on ball 3 than 33% of the final score will be deducted ! ) . The player whose ball was tilted will wait until their turn is up again will finish his game and/or play an additional ball in another game ( in any case no game will be restart unless Slam Tilt ) .
-Slam tilting a game in progress will result in a loss !
-If you ask how to play a game while you are playing your ball you will get a warning or even a loss ! Ask before or after !
-Bang backs and death saves are not allowed.
-Ball stuck : call the officers we have the keys !
- If a feature/light on a machine is not working keep playing (that feature wont work for all other players !)
- If a machine reset then all players will repeat the game
- If a machine breaks beyond repair then the players will play an alternate machine
-playing someone else ball (playing out of turn) Will result in a warning unless the other player will be able to catch up . If not then he will finish his game and play 1 more ball in another game . The other player will receive a penalty of 10% deducted from his final score ! On side tourney you might get a loss automatically .
