WPPR-Palooza is a collaboration of Pinball TD’s here to celebrate with everyone the day IFPA re-opened after a 1.5-year COVID shutdown.

A FULL Weekend of pinball, friends and WPPR points!!!!

IFPA has changed things up, so we've setup these events to maximum WPPR points efficiency. That means we are keeping the Two-day Pinball Tourney Festival with a total of THREE tournaments and lots of WPPR points.

• Start Time 4pm
- Please pre-register so we can start on time.
(estimated start time will NOT be earlier than 4 PM, event starts after Stage 1 ends)

• Doors Open at 9:30am

• TD - CC Castaneda

• Fee - $20 or $45 for VIP All Access pass

• Format - Classic Target Matchplay

- Target Number is 52

- Scoring 7,5,3,1 and 7,4,1

• Top 8 players go into Finals (the next day), Top 16 if we have 40+ players

• Payouts - VIP : $1 to IFPA / $3 to trophies / $11 pot

• Payouts - Single purchase : $1 to IFPA / $3 to trophies/ $16 pot

• Top 4 payouts : 1st 40%/ 2nd 30%/ 3rd 20%/ 4th 10%

• STAGE #1 Tourney – 10am “Tilt This Way” Featuring Slamdown Pinball – three rounds with 4 generations of games (EM, SS, DMD, LCD) per round….. Please check back at this FB Event page for any updates or changes to this tournament for the full details.

• STAGE #2 Tourney – 4pm “Pirates Addiction” – Classic Target MatchPlay – all machines must be 25 years or older to be in this event. Target # is 52 (estimated start time will NOT be earlier than 4 PM, event starts after Stage 1 ends) …… Please go to the Facebook event page for this event for full details.

• STAGE #3 Tourney -5pm "Grateful Drains" - Limited Best Game - With your paid entry you will receive 20 entries. Best 8 out of 10 games - Qualifying hours are Sat. 5pm -11pm & Sun. 10am - 5pm

• Tourney #1 FINALS – Start time – 11am - Top 8 or Top 16 if over 40 players

• Tourney #2 FINALS - Start time - 3pm - Top 8 or Top 16 if over 40 players

• Tourney #3 – Limited Best Game “Grateful Drains” – Qualifying is OPEN Saturday 5pm (close at 11pm) and Sunday open at 10am - ENDS at 5pm

With your paid entry you will receive 20 entries. Best 8 out of 10 games.

* Finals will begin at 6:30pm

Details

• 3 IFPA Sanctioned Pinball Tournaments

• Tournament fee - $20 each

• $45 if you pre-register for the “VIP ALL ACCESS” pass
($15 off) for all 3 by the deadline on August 2nd and you'll be entered into a special raffle only for "VIP All ACCESS" Pre-registered players.

• Pre-Register by paying in cash to CC or pay through Venmo. In the comments, please state the which tourney or VIP plus players names if paying more than one player.

• Pre-Register deadline is on Friday August 2nd at 8PM, any players registering afterwards will be paying the full price of $60 for all 3 ($20 each)

• We will LIVE Stream a Special Pre-Reg/ "VIP All ACCESS" pass holder raffle at 8pm at Captain's Arcade Showroom and LIVE on Twitch @ PinsandPirates (right before league begins) on Friday August 2nd.

• Each Tournament is run by a different Tournament Director and each will be a different format.

• There will be at least a 30-minute break between Tourney #1 & #2 on Saturday.

• The event will be updated as we get closer to the event, but the date and location are confirmed. Start Time for Tourney #2 is currently approximate but will NOT start any earlier than 4pm.

• DAY 2 – Sunday August 4th – Doors open at 10:00am

• Like in the past WPPR Paloozas there will be a WPPR-Palooza Grand Champion Trophy – this is awarded to the player that played best in all the tournaments. This will be awarded at the end of the festival (Sunday).

CAX Scoring System in MatchPlay

• 1st = 100 points

• 2nd = 94 points

• 3rd = 91 points

After 4th it's 1 point between each rank
e.g. 4th = 90 points, 5th= 89 points, 6th =88 points, 7th = 87, 8th = 86 etc.
Ties for a position get the same points. (If two people are tied for 2nd, they both get 94)
