Tournament Start: 6:45 PM (starts on time but we can add players if you are late)
Doors Open / Practice: Anytime after 4 pm
FORMAT:
Qualifying is Group Match Play (7531 scoring) for as many rounds as we can play until 10:30 PM. Finals is AMAZING RACE format.
HOW MUCH:
$5 tournament fee + $1 coin drop per game.
AMAZING RACE Finals - How It Works
All qualifying players compete on the same machine, one at a time. The first player sets the first target score on the first machine. When you hit the target score (once established), you immediately move on the next game. If a player ends the game with a score that's lower than the target score, they now are at risk of elimination if everyone else beats their target score. Ultimately, the player with the LOWEST score on the game is eliminated. Meanwhile, the players that did beat the target score are on to the next machine and the same process occurs. Order of play is based on your qualifying seeding (lowest seeds play first). This finals format adds a challenging dimension to a tournament since it demands a change in strategy from qualifying based on when you play, who you are playing against that is still in the finals and whether a target score is set yet or not. The process moves quickly and continues until there's only one player left – the Amazing Race champion!
FOOD and DRINK:
Connected to Satellite is Moon Pizza Pie. Excellent pizza and beer, wine & pre-mixed cocktails. Arrive early or stay late for a great meal in a relaxed atmosphere.
PARKING:
Plenty of free parking (spots on the side, 2 public lots immediately around the corner behind the building and free street parking on Dixie Highway)
