MAIN EVENT Finals (Top 24 in A, Top 16 in B): SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 15, 2024 around (~approx) 3:30 PM (after a break between the two tournaments AND 15 minutes warmup time). The DFW Pinball League continues with its eleventh stop for 2024 with another MASSIVE IFPA CERTIFIED EVENT. This will be the 1ST ANNUAL BOSQUE RIVER BRAWL at THE PINHOUSE in Stephenville, Texas This event is hosted by the McMullin family! This listing is for the MAIN EVENT, but will cover details on ALL of the events as well. The main event will have $2000 total in cash payouts at this tournament -- this will be CASH, not Paypal, etc ... Cash will be paid out in BOTH the A and B Divisions so everyone has a chance! MAIN EVENT Finals (Top 24 in A, Top 16 in B): SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 15, 2024 around (~approx) 3:30 PM (after a break between the two tournaments AND 15 minutes warmup time). **** DONT WORRY ABOUT TIMING - A LOT OF OLDER GAMES THAT PLAY FASTER ARE INCLUDED - CARPOOL PINBALL AND LOUIS MARX HAVE CONFIRMED HOW FAST THESE PLAY **** TOURNAMENT FORMAT AND DETAIL for EACH Tournament: Progressive Strikes Side Tournament Eight ( 8 ) strikes Progressive Strikes All players will play together, no divisions -- 4 player groups: 0/1/2/3 Strikes 3 player groups: 0/1/2 Strikes 2 player groups: 0/2 Strikes Beat the Clock Side Tournament: Standard published IFPA rules for a Beat the Clock Tournament. We intend a top 8 playoffs for this one. 4 player groups. 4/2/1/0 scoring. 2 games per round with Swiss pairing. No new rounds after 10:30pm. *** THE MAIN EVENT IS AN IFPA CERTIFIED EVENT WITH 125% BOOST *** Main Event Qualifying: QUALIFYING is "group matchplay style" on Saturday. This means you'll be playing in four player groups on multiple machines. There will be 10 rounds withe 2 games per round. Main Event Finals: FINALS is "Group Elimination/PAPA Style", which is similar to the above, but with lower performing players being eliminated as we go forward (until there's a winner). This means you'll be playing in four player groups on multiple machines. Top 24 in A will play in the finals. This WILL affect final standings. The next 16 will play in the B finals. B Division playoffs is playing for cash and/or prizes - they do NOT affect final standings (as per published IFPA rules). Fair Strikes Side Tournament: Five ( 5 ) strikes Fair Strikes Tournament. All players will play together, no divisions -- In every game, the first place player will get NO STRIKES. In every game, the last place player will get TWO (2) STRIKES. All other players (if any) on each game will get ONE (1) STRIKE. The B Division is restricted as follows for this event: No one in the top 2500 in the IFPA as of 9/14/2024 may play in the B Division -- so many of the top players are excluded from the B Division so that ANYONE CAN WIN! There will NOT be a KIDZ FINAL / kids tournament at this event. COST AND PAYOUT DETAILS: If playing in the MAIN EVENT, cost is $79 per person (plus tax and ticketing platform) and INCLUDES entry into ALL of the tournaments. If SKIPPING the Main Event, then the cost for EACH of the three side tournaments is $10 each.
