Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: August 18, 2024

Our next event in the 2024 NW Pinball Championships pre-tournament series will be at 8-bit Arcade in Renton.
Each tournament will have a guaranteed minimum 8 free entry cards (6 for the Open, 1 for Women and 1 for High stake event). Overall for the different tournaments, that is a total of over 64 cards (minimum guaranteed) for the series (>$1,400 of free entries awarded)! Over $2,000 with cash, raffle and swag prizes.
Each tournament has the following guaranteed cash and free card entries payout for top 4, 1st 2 Open entry card & $20, 2nd 2 Open entry card & $15, 3rd 1 Open entry card & $10 & 4th 1 entry card & $5. For every 5 additional players starting from 35 players, 1 Open entry card will be added to next finisher.
ALSO, for each tournament, the top WOMEN will win a Women tournament entry card and the top ROOKIE (above IFPA 1,000 rank on day of event) will win an Open card. Only 1 card for each of these top results can be awarded by players.
Entry Fee $10 per player.
Pingolf:
• Two players tee-off at a time, but still play as one-player games. Players will be able to reserve a tee-off time starting a week before the event.
• Every machine will be set to 5-ball play, and will list a target score. Reach the target score in 1 ball for a hole in one. Reach it in 2 balls, then get a score of 2 strokes, and so on. If the target score is not reached after 5 balls, then earn a stroke score of 6 to 10, depending on how close to the target score reached. The score ranges (0-20% = 10, 20-40% = 9 so on until 80-100% = 6 strokes) will be shown on a note on the backglass.
• When a player reaches their target score or their game ends, they should raise their hand to call over the scorekeeper to verify and record the score.
• Extra balls can be played, and counts as an extension of the current ball being played. Thus if a player earns an extra ball on ball 2, and during that ball 2 they reach the target, they get a score of 2.
• When a target score is reached, the player stops playing and informs the scorekeeper of the number of strokes it took them. All subsequent balls for that player will be plunged.
• Scores on each machine will be tabulated. The players are ranked from lowest to highest score, with lowest score being declared winner at the end of the event.
• TOP 8 FINALS at 8 PM, players will play PAPA format finals, 3 games per round top 2 from each group move on to the next round but with Pingolf scoring (same as the qualifiers).
• During this round, groups are made but on slaughter seeding (1-8-9-16, etc...) and top seed can chose game or position for every match in the group. No same game can be picked by a player for the whole finals until that players picked allgames. In case of ties, players will playoff on another machine, with similar game or position selection by the top seed of that match (game picks count toward no repeat rule above) whoever wins moves on, if still tied, another game takes pace until there is a winner.
Players must show up to at least 15 minutes before their scheduled tee-off time and pay their $10 entry fee or may lose their reserved tee-off time to someone on the Standby list. Registration closes once all tee-off times are filled. Players can get onto a standby list if available to play and there is a no-show.
