Both days, doors open at 11:00 AM for warmup time and registration.
Tournament Meeting/Start at 11:30 AM promptly.
The 14th stop for the 2024 DFW Pinball League will be in Dallas, Texas!
The league usually does not go to the public venues because, after 23 years in Dallas Pinball, Louis Marx knows most of the operators as friends and doesn't want to play favorites.
Normally, we only go to public venues for national events.
However, this is a special case as we need to stress test this venue for a potentially large event we are planning for next year.
PLEASE NOTE: NO RSVP REQUIRED -- NO PRE-REGISTER -- ALL PLAYEES WELCOME - WALK IN AND PLAY ON THE DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT!
URGENT NOTE:
TPF WIZARDS TOUNAMENT TICKETS GO ON SALE AT NOON ON SATURDAY 11/2.
Therefore, we will PAUSE the tournament at 11:50 AM to allow people time to register for the TPF Tournament.
Even with this pause, we will still have 6 total hours of qualifying overall (beat the clock group matchplay style).
COST --
The cost is $10 per adult + FREE PLAY ENTRY COSTS ARE SEPARATE!
Children 16 and under play FREE in the tournament, but FREE PLAY ENTRY COSTS ARE SEPARATE!
You will have to pay to get into Free Play on both days!
That's right boys and girls, TWO DAYS of IFPA sanctioned pinball for $10 total (plus entry into the venue)!!!
There are NO COIN DROPS at this venue! All machines are free to play with your paid entry.
FOOD:
Free play arcade offers food and drink at your own expense.
DETAILS:
Play in as much or as little as you like.
Its a PARTY first, with a little pinball mixed in!
We TRULY want this to be about community! All skill levels welcome!! It's about having fun, eating, socializing, and playing pinball!! We had players as young as 3 years old & as old as 81 in our leagues. All we ask is that you respect each other, the host's home, and the machines! So, come Join us!
----- THE IFPA TOURNAMENT -
Qualifying is "beat the clock" for SIX (6) hours. This means you'll be playing in four player groups on multiple machines.
There will be two games for each round.
We will do as any rounds of qualifying as we can do in SIX (6) hours.
Timing is based on when a rounds starts, so a new round COULD start at 5 Hours and 59 Minutes (as an example).
Playoffs/Finals will LIKELY be Group Elimination/PAPA Style, which means:
4 Player Groups
Points Awarded based on how you play
Lower performing players being eliminated as we go forward (until there's a winner).
THERE WILL BE PLAYOFFS FOR BOTH A AND B DIVISIONS SO ALL SKILL LEVELS CAN PLAY AND WIN!
We have PRIZES for the B Division players and ...
... ALSO random door prizes for ANYONE in the tournament regardless of standings/rankings!
The B Division is restricted so that
-- players in the top 1000 in the IFPA rankings are ineligible for B division
-- players who have placed in the TOP 3 in any of the 3 most recent DFW Pinball League events are ineligible for B division
-- THUS: many of the top players are excluded from the B Division so that ANYONE CAN WIN!
NO KIDZ TOURNAMENT AT THIS EVENT!!!
HOST NOTES:
--- Kids have to be out of Free Play by 9 PM -- should not effect us -- we should be out long before then on both days.
--- This is a public venue, walk up customers are allowed to play the games - we do NOT own the space so please courteous and mindful.
