About The League - Who Can Play, How Much & How It Works:
WHO:
All pinball players especially those new to tournaments are invited to be social, eat, drink and play. You can join the league at any time within a season (just show up!) and you can play in one, some or all 6 tournaments within a particular season. League play nights are designed to be more casual, shorter and relaxed than monthly tournaments and last only about 2.5 hours since they are on a week night. If you arrive late, you can still play, but you'll only get points for games you play. Typical league nights get between 20-30 players.
WHEN:
Day of Week: Mondays
Registration & Practice: Any time after 5:30 PM (No pre-registration needed just show up. No player limit.)
Optional: 6:15 PM Pinball Tutorial Tips & Strategy Presentation on Featured Game of the Week
Tournament Starts: 7:00 PM (starts on time, late players may join but will be plunged or get the lowest score when absent)
HOW MUCH:
Only $1 to participate per night (used for Season Trophies) + $1/game coin drop (goes to Satellite). If you make the finals, it is $5 (for IFPA Fees & Trophies) + $1/game coin drop.
All Season 3 League Tournaments are on MONDAYS at 7 PM - 9:45 PM (approx).

HOW IT WORKS:
A "Season" consists of 6 consecutive weeks with a Finals for ALL players who played at least 4 of the 6 weeks. The weekly format is 6 matches of open Group Match Play (4 or 3 player groups) with 7531 or 741 scoring respectively. Your seeding for finals is based on total accumulated points across each of your best 4 of 6 events throughout the season. If you play more than 4 of the 6 weeks, your lowest 1 or 2 weekly scores are dropped from the season's final seeding calculation so players who do play 5 or all 6 weeks respectively and have an off-night or two can potentially seed well for the Finals since we only use your Top 4 tournaments in the calculation for your seeding for Finals. The actual number of players who qualify for Finals will depend on the total number of players who meet the qualifying criteria of playing at least 4 of the 6 tournaments. Season Finals shall be held on the 7th week after the start of a new season and will be IFPA sanctioned for WPPR points. A new season starts the week following the previous season's Finals. The format for Finals shall be a Ladder format, with the lowest 1 or 2 seeded players playing first (bottom of the ladder) depending on total number of qualifying players, in groups of 4, and the highest seed playing last (top of the ladder). High seed for each round has game selection. We reserve the right to tweak aspects of how league works based on player feedback, time considerations and venue requests while adhering to IFPA rules.
