Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: December 21, 2024
Rather than do two tournaments on Saturday, I'd like to run big one with a few chances to win some prizes, and hand out more IFPA points than my tournaments usually give out. If you want to improve your ND standings, here's your chance!
Inspiration for this format comes from D82, you can find some extra info on the format on their website - https://district82.com/event/lucky-13-tournament-3/
The general idea is everyone will play 13 rounds of matchplay, no cutoffs for any final rounds. Top 4 payout as usual, however the 13th round will also pay out the winner of each group.
$10 entry, with $6 going into the top 4 prize pot, and $4 going into the 13th round payout. Any money added by Fargo Pinball will only be added to the top 4 prize pool.
Top 4 points split: 40/30/20/10 independent of what group players started round 13 in. Tiebreaker as needed for this pot.
13th round group winner split... Good question! Highly depends on how many people show up, I'll do my best to come up with a payout table during the lunch break. The D82 website will give you an idea on how the payout works, but I'll have to adjust a bit as I don't expect 80+ people to show up. In general the higher finishing groups will be paid more. No tiebreakers, whoever wins the group wins the payout.
***Anyone registering later than the start of round 5 is ineligible for the round 13 group payout, but can still try to make the top 4 group***
Schedule:
11 AM start
~2 PM End of round 7 (typically when we end a three hour matchplay, so hopefully 2 PM) lunch break, no less than one hour after the final group finishes.
~3PM? Start round 8
All games will be played at the Brewhalla group of machines when possible. If I'm made aware of an event that prevents us from using the Brewhalla machines, we still start and play the entire tournament on the Drekker side.
