Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: July 19, 2025
Scott Kakavis (1968-2024). Our brother and friend sadly passed away on September 12, 2024. To honor his memory we inaugurate this tournament in his honor.
Scott was a great competitor in the Pittsburgh pinball community until he moved to Florida in 2016 where he became part of our pinball family, and an Asylum board member. Scott first played in the 2010 PAPA World Pinball Championships, and continued to make B Division almost every year he played.
This tournament will consist of five (5) rounds of group match play, and will celebrate Scott's fierce pinball competitor's spirit.
Each match will consist of 2 games played within 2 different eras: EM, Solid State, and/or Modern, for a total of 14 games.
Top 8 will make finals given more than 20 people attending, otherwise top 4 will play in a three (3) game final. The finals will consist of one EM, one Solid State, and one Modern.
In Finals, the first game will be picked by the top seed, the second game will be picked by the winner of the first game, and the third game will be picked by the loser of the second game. Each player choosing can only pick from the eras left in that round. Also, a player cannot pick the same game twice in the finals.
