Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: January 18, 2025
BONUS EVENT (open to anyone).
There is another event happening during the Ontario Provincial Championship...OPEN to all! It's a Hybrid Best game format. The Ontario Provincials side-event. Cost $55 and that includes ALL of your entries, no additional buying required. Food & drink included at noon! Players must register by Fri., Jan. 17at 9pm. Register either by e-transfer to pinballprofile @ gmail .com or cash to Jeff Teolis
- Qualifying: Saturday 11am-8pm.
- Bank of 13 machines (4-5 from each era). Your best scores on 10 different machines count for your total. Each player will receive exactly 52 total entries (maximum).
- Top 8 make playoffs and get paid based on money left after IFPA fee, food costs, host fee.
- After qualifying is done, players tied with the same number of points will have their best game(s) as tie breaker(s) for seeding ONLY. If two or more players are tied for a significant playoff spot (i.e. top spot or final playoff spot), they will play a one-game playoff (random game & order) to determine seeding. This will take place immediately when qualifying ends at 8pm Saturday.
- Playoffs: Saturday night at 9:15pm (or half-hour after Ontario Provincial Championships).
- Players will play 3 games per round with 4-2-1-0 scoring, with the top 2 players advancing to the next round. Top seed picks 1 game (or order) from each era at the start of the round. Cannot pick the same games in back-to-back rounds. (lowest score of playoff game gets choice of order on next game in that bank). If there's a tie after 3 games to advance or any spot 1st-4th place in Finals, top seed gets choice of (unplayed) SS game for tie-breaker game.
