RetroZone Marshfield Pinball Tournament, 24 Hour Edition.
Hi Everyone, Well, the RetroZone warriors came to me and said hey Eugene… that’s how it usually starts, hey Eugene.. can we get this, or can we do that, or hey Eugene when’s the next tournament.. so they came to me and asked.
… Hey Eugene, can we do a 24 hour tournament ? I’m like how do you even know about this. CP pinball ( now atomic pinball ) did one in April 2023. And I’m like no way, you know what that entails. But the more i thought about it, the more I’m like we can do this. RetroZone has the space, and the machines. This will be very similar if not the same as the one CP Pinball did, if you were at that one, you know what to expect.
What it is:
Players play in groups of 3 or 4 matchplay for points, continuously for entire 24 hour duration with scheduled short breaks. 20 min or less, Short breaks dinner will be at approximately 6pm, midnight snack, and breakfast approximately 6am ( finals start ). We will use most 1st and 2nd place points percentage to keep tie breakers less.
Finals will be divided into two groups. A/ B. Finals is 4 hours straight, group match play for points.
Where: RetroZone Arcade Marshfield. 118 commercial st. Marshfield, Missouri.
Easy to get to. I-44 five minutes from exit 100. 24 hour Casey’s is near by And motels available.
- Time: Start at 10am Saturday to 10am Sunday,
- When: Saturday/ Sunday April 26th/ 27th, 2025.
- there would be a cap of 52 participants.possible Max 56.
- Trophys and cash payout $500/- total divided up for top 3 both A/ B division. ( which is subject to player count, more players, more cash payout ). $500 divided between top 3, A and B is based on 40 participants.
- includes All games on free play,
- we provide dinner, midnight snack, hot breakfast for all participants, Free water on site. $$ vending/ snacks.
- We encourage people to bring their own food/ drinks
- extra large room and bathrooms on site.
- plenty of parking. Plenty of room for chairs, cots, resting, eating, we have a few extension cords, for phone chargers, etc.
- machines include Stern TmnT, Mando, Star Trek Pro, NBA Fastbreak, Fish Tales, Johnny Mn, T2, Freddy Nightmare on Elm St, Atari Superman, and Space Riders. We will have 20 usable, mostly 80’s, 90’s. would have to have more maybe like 22, in case of emergency.
- ifpapinball dot com sanctioned. And should be 150/ 200% wppr points.
RetroZone Arcade would announce it’s closed for private event And resume normal hours on Monday.
— Pre registration and registration is open. Now Feb 1st, 2025, And cut off is Monday April 14th 2025. Really To know how much food to be prepared for and prep for tables/ chairs.
