Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: May 04, 2025
Welcome to a new pinball adventure with our new format, the Amazing Group Knockout Race!
This will be a max value event, scheduled to hit 200% TGP.
***NEW*** the top amateur player (1,000+) IFPA rank will be awarded a $50 bounty!
Doors open at 1PM for practice and registration.
The tournament will start at 1:30PM sharp.
There is a LIMIT of 64 players total and the registration is $10 each.
The Ice Box is sponsoring the IFPA fee so 100% of the registration is paid back to the top 50% of the finalists.
The qualifying will be a group knockout format (lenient/strict/fair strike) that will go on until 50% of the players are eliminated or until we reach our "TGP goal", whichever is first. The number of total strikes and format will vary based on the number of players in the event. Same principle for the "TGP goal", it will be confirmed by the TD to the player before the event starts. We will alternate between “modern” and “classic” games every other round.
When we reach below the 50% threshold or the "TGP goal", the qualifying will end, except if there is a tie breaker (more than one player is tied on the 50% threshold cut line). Any minor tiebreaker for seeding will be done based on who got a stronger strength of schedule (example 2 people tied, someone got a strike the round before would win the tie breaker against someone that did not get a strike the round before, since it means they were against higher opponents in the previous match, and so on...).
The finals will be an Amazing race format with 50% of the players also alternating between “modern” and “classic” games every other match.
Amazing Race allows all the players to play machines single player one after another with the player with lowest score on each machine eliminated. Then the process repeats on the next machine with one less player, until only one player is left!
Players will play in reverse seed order, with the top seeded player from qualifying playing last on game #1.
Seattle Pinball Services’ monthly Max Value events have become so popular that they frequently sell out! Here's some clarified rules on our sign up process:
We do not do pre-registration, UNLESS you are traveling more than 50 miles. If you are traveling and want to play, contact Germain on Facebook.
You must be present at the venue to sign up.
If you forfeit your spot, the entry will go to the next person on the waitlist.
Sometimes we have almost enough players in line at the time sign ups open to fill our capacity, so make sure you plan accordingly!
This tournament will follow official IFPA rules, https://www.ifpapinball.com/rules/
