Illawarra Masters Card-based Best Game Qualifying - April 18th 10am-10pm & April 19th 10am-10pm. Finals on day 4 following Illawarra masters finals: Sunday the 20th of April, After the Illawarra Masters final (afternoon)
Buy in $20 - Additional cards $10ea. Prize money 1st - 8th.
Tournament Format: Card-based Best Game
The Best Card format is a concurrent competition running over the 2nd and 3rd days of the Illawarra Masters. Each participant will aim to achieve their highest scores across a series of games, with the best-performing player cards advancing to the finals on the third day.
Card Structure:
Each Card will consist of 5 games, choosing from 8 arenas. (Machine List TBA)
Players can play as many cards as they wish over the two days ($10ea additional card)
The goal is to achieve the highest combined score from the 5 games on a single card
Scoring:
PAPA: 100/90/85/84/…..
Scores from 5 games on a card will be totaled to form the card’s overall score.
All cards are awarded points, even multiple cards from the same player. The best card is used for standings.
Submission:
Players must submit their cards to tournament officials upon completion.
Officials will verify and record scores.
Scores must be submitted by the end of the 3rd day.
Tiebreakers:
In case of a tie in the total card score, an additional game will be played on a randomly selected machine, with randomly generated playing order.
Finals Structure
The top 16 players will advance to the finals, which will take place on Sunday 20th after the Illawarra Masters finals.
Finals will feature single elimination head-to-head matches, played in a Best of 5 series.
The highest-seeded player will have the privilege of selecting the first arena, while the opponent decides the player order. For subsequent games, the loser of the previous match will select the next arena, and the previous winner will select the player order.
If an arena is already being played, you may wait until it is available if they are on the last ball, otherwise another arena must be selected. An arena cannot be selected multiple times in the same head-to-head series.
Once a player verbally announces their game choice or position, the decision is final and cannot be changed.
